News & Notes

~ School board member Toni Ising attended the October meeting and presented a check for $1,000 from the School Board of Directors and Solicitor Mike Brungo. The donation was in honor of Dr. Kolonay and Harry Smith for their years of service to the Penn-Trafford community. Thank you from PTCEF!

~ The Penn-Trafford Adult Education organization donated $1,000 in honor of Dr. Kolonay and Harry Smith for their years of leadership and service to the Penn-Trafford School District. Thank you PTAE for your generous donation!

~ The Foundation would like to express its sincere gratitude for the recent anonymous donation of $5,000. The donation was designated to support the athletics department. A new sound system was purchased over the summer (2011) for the high school gymnasium. Stop by an upcoming event!

~ The Penn-Trafford Community Education Foundation (PTCEF) has been added to the United Way designation list. Our United Way Designee number is 59699. Please identify PTCEF as your donation recipient through your employer.

~ PTCEF has submitted for the state-sponsored Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program. Status is pending on PTCEF's participation in this program for the current budget year. Tax credits are available for businesses who donate to education foundations such at PTCEF.

~ Please consider supporting PTCEF through a tax-deductible donation, your volunteer time or as a valued member of a committee. PTCEF looks forward to partnering with you in working for the greater good of the students of the Penn-Trafford School District.
